1️⃣ Big Reason to Follow God ✨

Nov 19, 2025

Friends,

Whether you realize this or not, who you’re following to reach your growth potential is important.  As I shared on our latest podcast episode:

If you’re not following God, you may be misguided.

That’s a tragedy you can’t afford, but you might not think so yet.  As far as you’re concerned, life may be grand.  Who you’ve recently become couldn’t be any better but let me caution you:

If it’s not who God wanted you to become, then it’s disobedience at best.

Following God’s plan, however, is always a great decision.  Here’s one big reason why:

He knows who you’re supposed to become better than anyone else.

Notice the verses below:

You have looked deep into my heart, Lord, and you know all about me. You know when I am resting or when I am working, and from heaven you discover my thoughts. You notice everything I do and everywhere I go (‭‭Psalms‬ ‭139‬:‭1‬-‭3‬, ‭CEV‬‬).

God knows all about you, including your daily itinerary.  But He knows so much more.  Check out these verses:

You are the one who put me together inside my mother's body, and I praise you because of the wonderful way you created me. Everything you do is marvelous! Of this I have no doubt. Nothing about me is hidden from you! I was secretly woven together out of human sight, but with your own eyes you saw my body being formed. Even before I was born, you had written in your book everything about me (Psalms‬ ‭139‬:‭13‬-‭16‬, ‭CEV‬‬).

There’s much worth nothing in those verses, but here’s the point of emphasis:

God already wrote everything about you.

I guarantee that what He wrote also includes the growth journeys you’re supposed to take and when you’re supposed to complete them.  If He knows you better than anyone else, and even spent time creating a phenomenal script for your life, why wouldn’t you follow His plan over yours?

Lining up with God’s plan is the equivalent of following a path prescribed by a GPS on a trip.  That step-by-step navigation takes all the thought out on your part.  You just have to steer the vehicle in the directions shared.

God is much better than a GPS.  He knows your life from beginning to end, and He’ll guide you more efficiently than you can on your own.

So, now that you have the big reason to follow Him, what are you going to do with it?  Are you going to keep pursuing your own plan or follow His?  Ultimately, the choice is yours, and I hope you’ll submit to His leadership and arrive at the potential He always intended for you to have.  Here’s an action step to steer you in the right direction:

Ask, and you will receive. Search, and you will find. Knock, and the door will be opened for you. Everyone who asks will receive. Everyone who searches will find. And the door will be opened for everyone who knocks (‭‭Matthew‬ ‭7‬:‭7‬-‭8‬, ‭CEV‬‬).

Ask God what His priorities are for you.  When He answers, share it in the comments.  We’d love to set our faith in agreement and join you in believing in what He already told you.

That’s it for this post.  Until the next one, let God lead you because He knows the way better than anyone else.  And if this post resonated with you, share it with others.  Even better, check out the rest of the conversation here 👉🏾: [Lining Up with God].

Have an incredible day!
